Nicola McCrudden is Chief Executive Officer at Council for the Homeless NI (CHNI). She has worked in housing and homelessness for most of her career and has a particular interest in public policy development and collaborative approaches to problem solving.
Prior to joining CHNI in September 2020, Nicola was a Senior Associate with Campbell Tickell management consultancy working across Ireland. She led on governance reviews, strategy development and research projects. Her clients included housing associations, charities, government departments and local authorities including the Department for Communities, Dublin City Council, and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. During 2019-20 Nicola managed a team of researchers which led to the publication of the Housing Executive’s Strategic Review of Temporary Accommodation in Northern Ireland.
Between 2014-18 Nicola was Director at the Chartered Institute of Housing with responsibility for strategy and business development in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Before this, she headed up the policy and communications functions at Housing Rights.
Nicola is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. She is also a Director on the Boards of Northern Ireland Co-ownership and WOMENS’TEC.
